Welcome to the Benny Wills Brain Tumour Research Program website.

The program commenced in late 2010 at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, following the success of our inaugural fundraising event in September 2010.

The Benny Wills Brain Tumour Research Program was established in memory of our beautiful son Benny, who lost his twelve month battle with an inoperable brain stem tumour on Friday 11 September 2009. When we set out to honour our son by raising money for brain tumour research, we had no idea that not only would Sydney Children’s Hospital commence a program researching outcomes for brain stem tumours, but that they would also name the program after our son.

Losing Benny is the most difficult journey we have and continue to experience and our hope is that through ongoing support of the Benny Wills Brain Tumour Research Program, we can help save other families and their children from this devastating loss. We are committed to supporting this program for now and into the future. Our logo was designed by Benny, from a drawing he did of himself as a baby holding mummy’s hand, and our wonderful web designer, Bianca.

Please take the time to look around our website, read Benny’s story and get involved in supporting us in any way you can. Together, we can make a difference and change the destiny of future children diagnosed with brain tumours.
