The program commenced in late 2010 following the success of our inaugural fundraising event in September 2010 and is run through Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.
The Benny Wills Brain Tumour Research Program was established in memory of our beautiful son Benny, who lost his twelve month battle with an inoperable brain stem tumour on Friday 11 September 2009.
When we set out to honour our son by raising money for brain tumour research, we had no idea that not only would Sydney Children's Hospital commence a program researching outcomes for brain stem tumours, but that they would also name the program after our son.
Losing a child is something no parent should ever have to go through and our motivation in raising funds to support this program was and continues to be the hope that we can save other children from losing their lives to this terrible disease and other parents from this devastating loss. We are committed to supporting this program now and into the future and hope that it continues to grow and be successful.
Our beautiful logo was designed by Benny, from a drawing he did of himself as a baby holding mummy's hand, and our wonderful web designer Bianca. The site itself was donated by Web123, to whom we are eternally grateful.
Please take the time to look around our site, read Benny's story and get involved in supporting us in any way you can. Together, we can make a difference and change the destiny of future children diagnosed with brain tumours.
